...ion battery? Just ordered this FREESPIRIT electric bike on the sears.ca website, does not say anywhere what kind of battery it has. The battery is rectangular, brick shaped but larger, weighing approx 3-4 kg. It has 2 round contact points, is rechargeable and has a handle. Is it a lead acid battery, or lithium ion?
Paid $500 CAD for this bike, on sale from $1000. $Cad is almost at par with $USD
 
This is a low-end electric bike. Almost certainly it is a lead-acid battery. A lithium-ion battery for electric bikes costs $500 (US) and up, just by itself.
