I recently got the ear force x31's from best buy. i opened the box and the wire that connects the headset to the controller was ripped. i went to return it and best buy wouldn't accept it due to 'mishandling'. so, i am trying to splice the wire and i was wondering if the white cylindrical piece is important to the wiring or is just used to weigh it down.
Is the cylindrical component on the turtle beach x31 headset important to the wiring?
