around 200 stock. theyre not high revvers like theyre old counter parts the 302 sbc or 327 or even a 302 small block ford. but a 305 is a respectable motor, more people are building them up, especially since you can find alot of hydraulic roller blocks for cheap. and not to mention these motors are torquey, same stroke as a 350 but smaller bore, so with a decent cam, stock heads, larger valves, and upgraded intake and exhaust, youll be in 300+ horsepower with no problem. dont let people talk you down, a small block chevy is still a small block chevy
