Network are to release series 1 on DVD on November 29th and from what I've read it seems like a great panel show so I might just buy it

I hope they bring out Give Us A Clue on DVD next

It's nearly 40 years since it was on so any opinions are likely to be based on very old memories.
Not sure if I ever saw this first series hosted by Edward Woodward as I recall series 2 onwarRAB hosted by Jon Pertwee along with regular panellists Anouska Hempel and Patrick Mower.
But I remember enjoying it so I'll definitely be getting this one to see if my memory cheats.

Not sure Give Us A Clue is good enough for a complete release but I can see Network releasing a compilation of gameshow episodes in the future like they are currently doing with kiRAB tv on the Look Back On Telly dvd's.

2 more volumes in November including KiRAB from 47A, The Intruder ,Anything You Can Do,The Flaxton Boys ,Soldier and Me , The Danedyke Mystery and many more mixing all new material with episodes from series already available complete like Escape Into Night and The Jensen Code

Didnt they use well-kniwn actors for the filmed scenes? Im sure that they then would be in the studio for interrogation. God..it so long ago.,amazing that so many episodes were kept and not wiped.

I remember Cluedo, in the 80s/90s, and loved it. the write-up on Network DVD's website suggests Whodunnit is similar. Definitely worth a punt, I reckon.

I remember Whodunnit. It's basically a short film sequence enacting some sort of 'crime'. At the end, the panel have to guess 'whodunnit', and they each get the chance to review a specific scene to review a clue, and to be honest, some of the clues were pretty basic, i.e. easy to spot. I think they got to ask the characters some questions too, before nominating their guess as the culprit. But I was into Cluedo and the Ellery Queen series that was around at the same time, so it was quite enjoyable as an amateur detective.

My recollection is that they get to cross examine the suspects more than reviewing scenes but the memory can cheat.

Despite putting the BBC2 broadcasts of Ellery Queen onto dvd a couple of years ago I shall be getting one of the commercial releases that are now available.

There is a R1 US set and a R4 Australian set which seems better as it has 2 connected movies rather than just one as on the US release

I have great memories of this show and it's twisting plots and good-natured humour. I recall an episode with great clarity as the solution was so drowned in red-herrings it was amazing!

Something that's stuck in my mind was a show where Hughie Green was on the panel. He nailed all of the clues and got the killer. Obviously a very smart guy, which never came across on his pretty awful shows.

Not that shortlived.
There were nearly 30 episodes .
Unfortunately with just one exception the whole lot were wiped although I belive several have been recovered from the personal home video recordings of the late William Franklyn so there remains just one good enough quality to broadcast
