Is the 2010 Honda Insight a reliable car?

I am considering the 2010 Honda Insight (Hybrid) for my next car. I am a huge environmentalist, so the the fact that it's a hybrid is a huge selling point. Of course I looked at the Prius first, but at this point, it is a bit more than I am looking to spend. I have not been able to find too much on the Insight aside from the Edmund's reviews. I'm skeptical because unlike Toyota, who has basically perfected the hybrid technology with the Prius, this is Honda's first attempt at the hybrid Insight with the updated technology. Is the Insight a reliable car? Does it have any innate issues that I should be aware of? Any information or advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
 
The insight was sold before the prius was introduced. Look up the insights earlier design. Of course its reliable. It has been around longer than the prius.
