I know it used to be that if a film is refused a rating by the BBFC it only illegal to sell and not import. However Grotesque is the first film to be ban in the UK in quite a while, and was wondering if the old law still applied?
Following a bit of a hitch with implementation the same restrictions still apply - if it is not rated by the BBFC then you cannot sell it or have it in your posession for supply. If you just import one copy for your own use you will be ok although customs might stop it if they are feeling stroppy
Note it is 'rejected' for classification by the BBFC not banned as such.
