Although the newer models of the CRF450 have lots of upgrades. It will be a night and day difference. My friend has a 98 CR125 and compared to my 2007 CRF250R(the 2005 CRF450 is on the same page as my bike chassis-wise) it handles like an antique. You will be so happy with the newer chassis that is on the 05 450. If you can get it for a good price i would snatch it up, but it is going to be some wicked power compared to that old 125.
