Their margins are very thin and they can give away too much . This is one of the things they can keep their normal service prices reasonable or maybe allow the indirect dealers to make a little extra $. I do agree that certain things should be priced in ( aka free ) to keep your ongoing business . This could be a simple process that a user could do online .

there has to be a way cricket program a method of switching esn via the mycricket.com website that way they don't have to pay a rep to be doing them on 611 and people can just switch esns on their own

I'd like to say this is true but Virgin Mobile lets you swap phone every 24 hours for free. I could swap between 2 phones everyday if I wanted to...

OK please don't take my comments out of context. It was a generic meaning for all charges carriers enforce. Virgin Mobile probably charges you for other things that Cricket does not. I'm not really interested in how other carriers handle their ESN changes since its pretty easy to get a free ESN change on these forums anyway.
