Is Tennis a hard sport to learn?

& we're not talking about professional here, (obviously we're all to old for that now). This is just something my I want to do with my sisters for some bonding time.
I'm 23. I have two sisters one is 18, & the other is 28. The 3 of us have never played tennis, but we've always had an interest for it. Its just something the 3 of us want to do to spend time with one another. Just for fun, and a good time. We obviously are going to get help because we don't know what we're doing, but I was wondering is it a difficult sport to master. I've played softball and baseball, and my sisters have both done swimming, but tennis is new to us. Does it depend on the person or it takes a long while? Tell me what you think.
 
Its pretty easy to learn the fundamentals and how to hit the ball rite
but its hard to play and be good so if you get a good instructor and be patient it will be easy after practicing tennis is very fast pased so be ready to move
 
i learned tennis in about 1 summer. by tht i mean tht i was good enough to play tourneys and matches with other people. it all depends on how easy you learn and much u play. if u play once a month thn ur not gonna be any good. but if you want to have a good rally with ur sistersn than u will need to play a few times a week. hope tht helps =)
