As the title says.. is it?
First off... I know you only need calculus IF you're doing science and things like that.
I'm not.
Secondly... My school counselor advised me that taking foundations of math would be better because
a) I failed my first term of math (and I do poorly) although my teacher isn't that good at teaching, and he is the source of most student failures, I blame myself for not trying hard enough..
b)Foundations of math is apparently specifically designed for students trying to major in the arts field (history)
I realize all of this, and I know you don't need calculus to get into university etc etc
except still..
the university I plan to go to ONLY has calculus available for first year students and stuff.. I can ONLY take pre cal and calculus when I get into university anyways..
I should take calculus while it's still free right? Also, I WOULD do better in university if I take it now..
However, I don't understand HOW foundations of math is "specifically designed" for art majors..
I'm afraid I might fail calculus too.. but at the same time, I do have some confidence in myself..
anyways.. I'm just really confused right now.. I barely know if I even want to major in history... so I'm afraid I'm choosing all the wrong courses..
sorry for making it so long.. all those factors were kinda important to me though..
and I know there's like.. a hundred of the same question out there, but none of them really fell into my exact situation.
I appreciate the help..and non-redundant/typical help even more...lol
