ok heres the thing i fight MMA and i have good striking and submissions but my trainer says i need to work on my stand up and feet skills. and he says i should take ballet.

i agree that i need help with my skills but should i take ballet.

i mean im 23 and i'll have to train with little kids ???wtf

What is there wrong about it? Ballet will only benefit you. I've seen a football player a couple years ago in HS who was said to have taken ballet. No one could catch that dude for sh!t !! He could be right in front of you and then lean away half a second before you even touch him. Apply that to your fighting skill, you will be my agile to move around better. If ballet wasn't so expensive in my area I would consider taking it for my bboying. Good luck.

Not weird. A LOT of male athetes take or have taken ballet for their sport!! Try it out. You'll probably get better AND have a newfound respect for dance, because that stuff is NOT easy!! There's a reason your trainer suggested it.
Chances are, you won't be with little kids. Probably w/ other athletes or beginner adults.

Okay, this is officially ballet myth #1: You will have to take ballet class with children. The truth: They'll put you in an adult class, it will probably be filled with women though. And if you feel uncomfortable with taking ballet in front of people, you can pay extra for private lessons, or sometimes even for the instructor to come to your house. You will not be with kids, I promise :D
