I meet many people that are upset that steroids have ruined the professionalism and integrity of baseball and I have to disagree with them every time. Here's my argument and I wonder if anyone else agrees with me; I think that as a professional anything you must do and use whatever may be at your disposal to improve yourself to make yourself the best in your profession. If an actor has plastic surgery to improve their looks and stop them self from looking older so they can continue to land roles in movies, nobody is in an uproar that they don't deserve all the recognition and their should be an asterisk by their name so why for athletes? Before 2001 or 2003, whatever it was, it wasn't against MLB rules so why complain that a baseball player, trying to be the best at what they do, used a tool at his disposal to advance his career to the highest level of excellence?
