Is staying in front of the TV/monitor for 10 hrs or more to watch anime most of the

not at all, i am 28 years old college grad ( twice ) i love spending hours watching evangelion, dragonballz or gt the jap ones, eon flux, doug, anything cool. i think it just helps your imagination grow but then again your life status goes down a notch :) there is nothing weird in this world anymore just how people take it or see it. have a blast watching them and enjoy :)
