Is SS 900 the forgotten Ducati?

I just obtained my first Ducati, a '94 900 SS/CR. It runs great, but needs a little TLC cosmetically. I've been surfing for goodies, but it seems the pickings are slim for the SS. Most suppliers cater to the Superbikes and Monsters, and ignore the SS. IMO, the SS is the bike that put Ducati back on the radar in the U.S., shouldn't its numbers warrant more aftermarket support? BTW, the headlight on mine features a through-and-through stone chip hole, are there any options beyond factory?

In it's day, there were many "choice" bits for the SS. I had a 94 SS SP. The kick is that that was over 15 years ago and vendors go with the latest and greatest. Stuff is still out there, on a shelf, almost forgotten. You will have to do some digging.

IT is a great bike, with a ton of spirit and will be a load of fun. Welcome to the family!
