Is sims 3 generations fun ?

It just came out in australia, and it looks really great. I was planning on getting latenight but now generations is out and im torn XD I can only afford 1 and it will be my first expansion pack. No-one i know has it yet since it just came out but i think its been out a couple of weeks in america so i was wondering if anyone over there has it and reckons its fun ? :) Thanks.
 
Yeah, it's awesome! No new neighborhood stinks, but there are so many new hairstyles, clothing, items (the kind of stuff I like.) Plus it feels more life-like now. But I recommend getting Late Night before Generations.. Late Night rocks!
