I need to vent. I work for a non profit org, we rent from a church. The flowers are blooming outside the office and I went out to take a few pictures of the flowers...and the church secretary comes out asking what I'm doing on private property and that I should tell them before taking pictures of the flowers. I guess I didn't think it was private because I worked onsite for many years...anyways is she right? I told her I worked here, and didn't mean to upset her...but she was not in a bad mood. Made me feel like a little kid getting scold. It's just pictures of flowers for goodness sake. What do you think?
*She was in a bad mood

Sounds like she was over reacting. I always thought Churches were open to the public. Anyway, how she reacted is her problem. Don't let her make you feel bad.

Legally she may be right if you were not currently working there.

Morally.. well all I can say is that some people have to grab power where they can find it. It takes all kinds. Very petty isn't it.

As a good gesture, you can give her a print of your beautiful photos.

Between us, they probably pay her very little to work there. So just let it go for now. If something worse than this happens in the future, you may need to speak to someone in charge (of her).

p.s. I thank you for two points.
