Is Schizoaffective Disorder a serious mental illness?
Hi.I am 22 years old and live in Glasgow,Scotland. I was discharged from hospital last week after two weeks.I was feeling suicidal and hearing derogatory voices. The diagnosis from the hospital was Schizoaffective Disorder.I don't have alot of insight into the illness.My question is is this a serious mental illness?Is it a personality disorder like BPD or is it different?Thanks for your time.
