Is SAT/ACT required after a certain age? Or for a community college?

I am 19 years old and I have not taken the SATs or ACTs and I was wondering if I could just go to a community college next semester next month and not have to worry about taking those tests? Isn't there a point where you don't have to take them? Does my age or community college matter?
 
short answer: nope.

long answer: if you only plan on going to a community college, and not transfer to another school, you don't need it. if you want to transfer to a university, you still probably won't need it. only a few very elite private schools (such as MIT) require it for transfer students.
