Well he's a nice guy and honest but austrian economics is flawed and wouldn't work..

to answer your question, no. and it's nice to hear that you're so objective about his ideas.
Well there is Sen. Cochran from Mississippi and some others,but concerning financials he is tops. Anyone can go to MSNBC or you tube and just put Paul financial news shows and they need to bring a lunch cause he is on all the tie. Right or left wing agree,he is always on. I was shocked that he was able to get 300+ House members to back bill 1207. I figure there would have been enough skeletons in the their closets to have the administration put pressure n them not to back it.
Rep Paul is misunderstood and probably done that way by the media at the behest of both parties, but during the debates he made the statement that there was no comparison between Saddam and Hitler and that is right. Hitler by manipulating the 100,000 man clause had built an army of millions and had the most advance equipment in the world. Saddam on the other hand had fought an 8 year war with Iran and also the First Gulf War. He had used equipment from Russia. If Hitler hadn't had to go into the balkans and Greece due to Mussolini getting in trouble would have over run Moscow with no trouble as the winter would not have set in and due to the wear and tear on the tanks (overhauls at a certain amount of hours). But the rest of the candidates would laugh when he made a historically correct statement.
So yes the man is sharp as a tack, he was a host on one of the financial shows just the other day. i would say we have some of the best minds up there, but considering the committee chairmen are the ones that get the most denotations, well I just don't think the fact that you get more in donations makes you an authority, maybe a conduit to the others.
You might go to opensecrets.org and yo can put anyone House or senate members name in and see how much of the $3.2 billion that was donated to Congress last year that they got. It also sows from whom and ow they voted.
