Is riding a bike, every day of the week (maybe taking weekends off) for 1.5hours...

...every day excessive? Would that be dangerous?
Would it be dangerous if you eventually warmed up to that?
I have been lacking motivation for the longest time to lose weight, but I know I need to. I not overweight by much and could easily get back to healthy weight, but I want to get to a very low weight so I have wiggle room if I gain a few pounds. I've been thinking about walking and running, and for almost a year now, but I can walk (not run). However, it's not as fun as bike riding. I had forgotten about how awesome bikes were until the May 4 or so, when my brother got a new bike and I rode it for three miles. That's something I could easily do if I get my own bike.
@frog: close, 15 (:
Thank you all who answer.
So hopefully, I'm going to start doing it. I just have to convince my grandmother to buy me a bike. That's going to be tough, thought, because she buys me big things but on holidays. (I do live with her, btw) so my camera broke, and for X-mas, that's what I'm getting. Although, maybe I'll get a bike instead. And until then, I could borrow my brother's.
