Is Quantum mechanics just theories or has it been proven by tests?

I don't understand how electrons can be at two places once, are quarks real and will we ever find graviton in the LHC.
Ok, i trust quantom mechanics works. But why do i read that quantom mechanics does not fully explain how gravity works?
