Is putting pure Capsaicin into a salt shaker in a restaurant illegal?

Capsaicin, in its pure crystal form, resembles a salt crystal in both appearance and size. However since Capsaicin is what makes peppers, such as habaneros, their spicy kick. To put it into perspective for you a habanero, which most people consider very hot, ranges between 100,000 to 300,000 scoville units, this is the scale of heat used to measure spiciness, however pure Capsaicin has a heat of 16,000,000 scoville units. In other words nothing gets hotter than pure Capsaicin since it is what causes the heat in peppers.

Now my question as my title states. Would it be illegal for me to slip a couple of Capsaicin crystals into a salt shaker at a restaurant as a prank? Since it cannot kill you or physically harm you I don't see anything wrong with it, it just causes discomfort.
Well I guess I can see the whole idea behind the whole heart and breathing problem thing, oh well. Also no I haven't been pepper sprayed, however I have added Capsaicin to my chili and loved it. There is no way it could be considered poisonous or noxious because it cannot kill you, in reference to the heart/lung thing it would be their condition that kills them not the Capsaicin itself, so there is no way for it to do anything but cause you to feel the burn haha. Well I've found a place online that sells it so I'm going to buy some and go find a restaurant that doesn't have video surveillance and go have some "lunch" when they're really busy!
Also just so you know there is nothing more serious than a felony, that is as high as it goes.
