Is PHP a good language of the future? Should I learn it?

I wonder if I should learn PHP or ASP.NET? But I was told that PHP is much easier for somebody who never programmed before. I read that ASP.NET requires a good knowledge of C# or VB.NET versus PHP who does not require any knowledge beside the language & some Mysql. So based on that do I make a great choice learning PHP? What will be my job opportunies when I know it well? Thanks for your precious time.
 
i think if you want to do websites PHP is the way to go but i know that boot-up scripts are macros so if you want to do that learn pascal and if you want to do making a computer game learn Python
i guess it all depends on what you want to do with your life job wise
