Is photoshop worth it?

I've never used it before, But I'm always amazed by it. I have this one friend who just works magic with it, and I'm always so jealous of how she does it! It seems really hard, but I'm thinking about using the free trial.

She my AIM pal I met a couple years ago (We've never met in person) So she couldn't really give me to much help. But do you think I should try it? I want to get good at it!
I also tried GIMP awhile back and I couldn't use it, or I didn't understand it :/ Just didn't like it
 
Photoshop is hands down one of the better photo/image editing software package out there. If you want to take the cheap route you can always get Photoshop Elements which is a very good package as well.

Photoshop can be very intimidating to someone who has never used it but if you would do a Google search "photoshop tutorials" you'll be surprised how quickly you can learn it.
 
i took 2 years of photoshop at my school. Its easy once u get used to it and know what everything does. Its fun to have because theres tons of tutorials for it. AND U CAN MAKE AN OLD PERSON LOOK YOUNG.
 
I personally think photoshop is a great package to get. I was just like you, a bit skeptical of purchasing it, but i don't regret getting it at all. Also, with a free trial you have nothing to use. When and if you get it, there are videos on youtube etc, which can help you to use it, it is great fun to use :)
