An eye for photography is an understatement when it comes to being a professional photography. It takes much more than that. This is where schooling comes in; which you'll have to decide, 'is it worth it?' You'll not only need a good eye, but photography, lighting, and business classes as well. If you're determined, and can put up with an unstable income and FIERCE competition, go for it. If not, you should probably find something else to do.
