Is photography an art form?

Would you regard photography as an art form?
Comparing it to the likes of paintings, and sketches?

Just interested to hear some views.
I regard my self as a fine art photographer, so my opinion would be bias ;)
 
I think so,
you study photography
and u look at it through an art perspective,
I am 15 and I am totally inspired by art and photography
and u cant really do art without photography of some kind anyway really can you (: xxx
