Im writing an persuasive essay on whether or not i thing that photography is a lie, a distortion, and an aesthetic consumerism to which everyone is now addicted. Or if i think photograph is a bigger truth in which we see what we can't physically visit...
Evidence:
- people view pictures differently
-newly wed and newly divorced will view a wedding picture in a
different light
-Don't give real knowledge of before and after, or how things work
-take a picture of a tractor, but u can't see how it works
-pictures can hide things through Photoshop
-propaganda- image of soldiers marching while its sunny
-this doesn't show dead soldiers or any problems
I have to either support, refute, or qualify the claim that photography limits our understanding of the world.
Thanks again!
