I have had the Mirena IUD in for about three months now, and at first everything seemed fine, except that I was spotting a lot. After about two weeks my sex drive went out the window, and we have only had sex about 5 times in the last 2 1/2 month. For about the last 4 weeks I have had almost constant sharp pain in my lower abdomen, and the last couple of times we tried to have sex it was so painful that we couldn't finish. A shooting pain that went from my lower abdomen up to my sides. Are these symtoms of any side effects or something that any body knows about?
