You don't seem to be the bastion of intelligence yourself, but if you are actually curious about the economy you can look up the community reinvestment act that was passed in 1999 if you want to know what happened and what brought us to where we are now.
Secondly, "everyone" won't lose their jobs, whether we come out of this still as powerful is debated, nevertheless we still live better than most people in the world, we still are spoiled and life goes on. If we survived the 30's, we sure as hell can survive this.
