Of course, he is. Obama wants a line-idem veto power. He doesn't have it. The budget he signed was to have been signed by Bush last falll, but that didn't happen. Instead, the government has been limping along on temporary spending measures. If Obama had vetoed the bill, Congress would have had to pass still another temporary spending bill. One smart Republican said, let's pass a temp bill that goes through June 30. That would have been a good deal if the Republicans would also have supported line-item veto. Until we get line-item veto for our president (Democrat or Republican) our budgets will be filled with pork.
