Is New Age Poetry more like a story than Poetry?

I see so many poems in the Poetry Section and although there is some merit in most of them, the old age terminology seems lost.

Tis I long for and now it's gone
Many words of forgotten time
Should I care so much it now
Or let it slide for my rhyme?
