Is NASCAR just not the same?

I went to AMS and that was the most boring race in history, NOW Bristol, which is supposed to be exciting...was not. Is the "Car of Today" ruining it for the "Fans of Yesterday?"

If you went to the races in the 60s and 70s Like I did, when there was only a few cars on the lead lap, you might think this is pretty good stuff. The COT still has a lot of the guys puzzled, they will get it, and once NASCAR gets this Tire Fiasco fixed it should be great.. Martinsville is coming lets see how that go's..

its become too corporate. trying to lure more money into the sport and forgetting what got them there. BTW, did anyone take notice how great it was that DW couldnt speak today. it used to be when he was a guest commentator, he wasnt afraid to speak his mind. now , he's a corporate boy, saying just what they want him to say. its a bunch of crap !

Nascar was at it's best in 02 and 03, the chase brought about an entire new atmosphere to the sport. I still love it but it will never be how I remember it. The reason is the fact Nascar is a buisness and wants to appeal to a wide fan base leaving the current diehards out to dry. I will always love the racing but they'll be that empty feeling every Sunday.

Bristol is known as a short track. The straights are very short. This is what made it seem more boring, but the finish was exciting, all be it short, like the track.
I prefer a regular full speed track myself.
