Is Naruto Canceled?

What happened to Naruto it's been almost 2 months, is it canceled?
and if so then why? only 11 episodes left till it finishes.

please some one get back to me on this one

Cartoon Network or VIZ have yet to state what will become of Naruto on the network, but I honestly see no signs that it will return anytime soon.

im depressed, and the guy below my first post thnx!

now back to this one! why!!!!!!!!!! :'( im crying waterfalls it cannot be canceled!

1.Why? you ask. Because the New CN Regim is trying to "Kidify"CN & because the arn't as big anime fans as the past Regims were.

2. They can cancel Naruto, but hey theres still the DVRAB and if worse comes to worse Viz could pay Adult Swim or Scyfy to show Shippuden!

3. Modern CN in general will never have the amount of epic Awsome it had from the 90's through early y2k. But we should be thankful its more watchable now then it was back in 2006-2007.

Same here. If that's the case, I don't really get it. Whenever possible, you should always leave viewers with the option to either watched it in a localized dub or in its original language with native-language subtitles. I can think of a few good reasons why VIZ has Japanese w/English subtitles as the only option on some of these sites, but as far as I can see those good reasons aren't worth it.

A while ago people said Cartoon Network had too much anime and not enough new original programming. The format's changed and people are uneasy about it even though they were already asking for changes.

I hope Naruto Shippuden does have some presence on CN in the near future.

I'd be erabarrased if I was one of those people. I never felt Cartoon Network ever had too much anime, just more than what we'd previously seen on American television. As far as I can recall original programming never got less focus than the third-party Japanese shows, always either the same or [usually] more in terms of exposure and pretty much anything else. What exactly do people expect?

CN has not ordered more episodes. They've run the course of the total episodes they've purchased. Viz stated in a press release (some place) that CN doesn't have the intention on buying more.

Further, Viz annouced they'd be releasing a non-kiddied dub sometime in the not so distant future.

Rumor has it it will end up on Hulu and Crunchyroll.

For those interested (and dont already know), Hulu has Naruto Subed currently.

You can find those here:

It was defiantly one of the better dubs.

I was paraphrasing the press release in which Viz actually whined about some of the things CN made them do.

It almost felt like they were playing on the Anime communities current dislike of CN or they had their own teeth to grind on the state of CN.

Well, I mean the show was a big success on Cartoon Network. I imagine it was annoying have to put up with S&P as well as annoying fanboys who nitpick about all the changes, but I think they can be very proud of the work that was done as well as how they got by keeping so much intact on CN.

Where did you get this press release? If you can't link to it publicly please PM it to me. I haven't seen a concrete press release of the sort and the only person talking about this press release is you.

I thought CN had the last batch of episodes of the original series, and they were just holding back on airing them? Wouldn't be the first time. They almost didn't air the rest of Yu Yu Hakusho that they had.
