From “kings of the rings” chapter 6: the founding of Tibelt

Be not without weakness my crippled spine, for this pack bounds the weight of many shroom caps. I will need to rest the night long in sleep for my strength melts like a buttered candle. Such a lonely quest have I found, each in a head of three men go I. A companion of spliced heartbeat needs mine company and I his. A pillow of rock and skull for me and stone for my feet, a lighter whisper will I not wake, a tree with heads of sunlight snakes. A silent rustle like pennies in rice, a beast of land? A Cornish balloon? I grasp my sword like a chickens scruff and swipe at the nearest bush. A cat with the body and head of a dog, how lord, is this my chosen twin. I shall knight thee Tibelt sworn protector of saints and gender confusion. We shall have many an adventure by each other’s side, a species apart fused together by bonds of caramel textured goals. We have lost all but each other’s sanity, and mine is fading under the gaze of the giant fire island in the sky. Realization has found my head of what is asked, a dog and a sword with four hundred miles of land, if I should be remembered let it for my abnormally large hands and not by the actions of my heart.
