I submitted my tax return on 1:30p 4/15 electronically using TurboTax. At 11:40p that night, my federal tax return was rejected because I had an incorrect value for an entry. However I didn't notice it until this morning! I resubmitted the tax return with the correct values around noon 4/16 and it was accepted 6-7 hours later.
Is this tax return considered late and will I be penalized? I am actually due a $344 refund, and I got my 1040-ES estimated tax payments for 2010 in on time on 4/15.
