Is my Sony Bravia 32' XBR 1080p native, and are Rocketfish HDMI cables good?

So my TV is fairly new and I bought a Rocketfish HDMI cable to hook up to my PS3, but I noticed that whenever I play Assassin's Creed 2 the screen tears whenever I turn the camera or even just play, what I mean by screen tears is that horizontal lines appear and distort the image...so I'm wondering if it's my TV or the HDMI cable??? please help
