The flame of tyranny had engulfed the earth,
Its wrath could not be escaped,
Righteousness and good was in dearth,
In an evil veil, the world was draped.

Who would step up to this brutality?
When innocent lives were lost,
Was there someone, with a sense of morality,
Who would resist evil, whatever the cost?

There were a few, who held no fear,
Yet procrastinated their act,
They thought the perfect time was near,
So, they never attacked.

Now,the time had come, for the war to be waged,
Or so the scholars had thought,
The armies of evil, they had engaged,
And valiantly they fought.

The outcome was nigh, but uncertain,
Both sides' ranks had dwindled.
The result, unknown, was behind a curtain,
But alas,the flame was rekindled.

The good had lost, because the time to fight-
evil they had tried to mark,
When in fact, the time was right,
When the flame was just a spark.
