Rather alarmed!!

fearful of him do you think? He has told me that he suffers from schizophrenia and that he has previously been sectioned. He has lived in the flat beneath me for approximately one year, in which time he has been no bother at all.
Approx 6 weeks ago he gave me a letter to read which he had written to Cheryl Cole declaring his love for her in the style of a poem, he asked me how he could get in touch with her etc etc, I said I didn't know and made a sharp exit.
Yesterday evening he knocked on my door, I answered without thinking anything of it as he is my neighbour, I am in my 20's and live alone and was a little freaked out afterwards. He was telling me that MI5 have been torturing him for the last 20 years and that spooks are hiding in the shadows watching and spying on him, he asked me what he should do (why he thinks I would know), I told him he should contact a solicitor (I didn't know what else to say as I couldn't exactly turn round and tell him to get real!!) anyways he was there about 15 minutes telling me all this.
I called out of hours social services at reported it to them as I am concerned for him, as well as being unnerved myself.
Today he catches me going out and starts telling me how MI5 are trying to contact him through The Sun newspaper, he was telling me how various stories which were printed are secret messages to him. Example is that Ronaldo has apparetly paid the mother of his baby £10m to keep quiet, he believes that this is a message to him from MI5 saying he will get £10m if he keeps quiet about the torture.
Again I rang social services mental health team.
I feel so sorry for him that he believes all this stuff, it must be awful for him. But he seems to want to keep confiding in me and he knows when I am in as he can hear me walking about and stuff. I don't think he is a danger to me, but I am still nervous. I am going to sleep at my mums tonight I think.
Do you think he is on the edge of a breakdown/relapse? This can't be normal!!!
