Is my medical/psychiatric history able to be viewed by the government (ARMY)?

I'm planning on joining the army, but when I was younger I had been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and was prescribed Adderall; had received prescriptions from 3 different doctors (because I moved a few times). Is there any way someone (the goverment specifically) can find out I had been prescribed this without me volunteering the information? Will doctor/patient confidentiality keep this info between me and my doctor?

I paid for the meds with my insurance...co-payed w/ credit card.

I'm asking because the army wont take you if you have ADD or were prescribed any meds for it.
