I found out about 2 months ago, after having a very large phone bill, that my husband had been texting and talking to a female I had no idea about. He is a police officer and she is a jailer. He has sworn they were nothing more than friends and he only hid it from me because he knew I would be pissed and take it the wrong way. He promised me he did nothing with her and would not do anything with her-that I was his only love and would always be. He called her right then and told her he would not be contacting her anymore and as far as I can tell he has not. I trust that he has not. Plus they are on different shifts now so he doesn't see her at work. He did erase all their texts which makes me skeptical. He says he was setting her up with another officer. He erased that officers texts too. It would've been so easy to show me he was honest by showing me those texts but because he hid her from me plus erased the texts it makes me feel like he is hiding what their relationship might've really been. I do all our banking. He has not missed any work. He is totally devoted to me...our sex life has never been better, we are communicating much better and I am doing everything in my power to show him all the attention he needs. I think it may have been an attention thing. I think she may have been flirting....and it gave him a huge ego. It made him think he was "all that" because some other girl, other than his wife, flirted with him. I'm thankful that he called her right up and told her he would not be contacting her anymore and for her not to contact him. I didn't even ask him to do that. He called her the minute I approached him about it. I really think if he actually had feelings for her he would not have done that. Another thing is he found me snooping on his cell phone which I never had done before. He has changed the passcode on it and says he will tell me when he thinks he can trust me again.
BTW, we have been married for 15 years and have 3 children and nothing like this has ever happened before.
