ok this is a ten gal tank (38 litres) it has in it:

(i dont really go by the whole "1 inch per gallon thing")

6 neon tetras
5 male guppies
2 corydoras catfish
& a mystery snail

i feed my fish once a day, sometimes on brine shrimp, sometimes on flakes.
i keep my temperature at 24.c
i do a 20% water change once a week
i have a good filter
lots of live plants....
my tanks been established 4 10 months now

does this all sound good... or is there other things i should be doing..... i really love my fish & dont want them to be sick or depressed...

thank you

Thats fine , you get people who say you can only have about 10 fish in
there but honestly , they worry to much.
nice fish setup!

hope i helped =).

Honestly, it is overstocked, you do need 1gal per in. But you can compensate this with an excellent filter which will oxygenate the water sufficiently, live plants which will help the eco system. The care you are taking of you fish is excellent but a few things. The corydoras like large groups of 5+ as do the guppies of 6+. Also, the guppies are livebearers and will multiply like crazy. Your fishtank will become way overstocked quickly at that rate. (although guppies tend to eat their fry but a few usually do survive)
My advice:
1) get a bigger tank+stand and add the needed amount of fish to make them happy
2) rehome the guppies at a local pet store
3) get another fish as a replacement for the guppies such as a betta (will do fine with the cory cats and the neons), ghost catfish, cherry barbs, zebra barbs.
