okay i own 2 calico ryukin goldfishes and they are in a 20 gallon fish tank. is the size of my fish tank right for my goldfishes? or are they too big? or too small? whats the perfect size for 2 calico ryukin goldfishes? thanks in advance! :-)

ive been researching alot about fish sizes and tank sizes in the past couple of days because im trying to build myself a beautiful tank for the type of fish i want and from what you have explained, id have to say that it would be a good size if you only have 2 and it also depends on how much decorations you have in the tank as well. basically the bigger the fish can get, the bigger the tank you will need and the number of fish you have also determines the size as well. from my research, a good tank size would have to be a 55 gal that way your fish have all the space they need

The tank is perfectly adequate for the two calico's right now as long as it is filtered and you are doing the necessary water changes. As they get larger you may want to upgrade to a 30 gallon tank.

Compared to what a lot of people are keeping their goldfish in, your tank is quite adequate and should be able to house the fish for quite a while. Once the fish reach their full size (between 5-6") I would recommend upgrading the to something a bit larger.

It's just about right. When the get bigger you can buy another 20 gallon tank and separate the goldfish and ut some other small compatible fish. Then you will end up with two set ups. :)
