is my fish pregnant.?

I have a red wag platy and I want to know what signs are absolute about her being pregnant? I have tried before but she never had any that I know of. I want to know how to be absolutely sure she is pregnant before I separate her from the rest. she's fat, very fat. that's all I know

She lays eggs...that's usually a good sign of pregnancy...ha ha.

If she has become this fat rapidly, then she probably is. If it has happened over 2 months or something like that then she might just be fat.

Fish aren't mammals. They lay eggs and the male fertilizes them after they are laid. This would look like a pile of little eggs at the bottom of the tank, or floating on the top. I don't know why your fish is fat, but it's definitely not preggers. Scientific impossibility.
