Is my eclipse a ford?

i was told that ford and mitsubishi "got to gather", if so what year? and i have a 1990 plymouth laser (mitsubishi eclipse) and this guy said it was a ford, that the ford probe had the sam motor/tranny and other small parts, and i went to wiki and it said the ford probes smallest motor was a 2.2 and the dsm was the 1.8 but most commonly the 2.0, im starting to get pissed cause i hate fords but i love my car could you explain to me (if it is a ford) how?when?and why? and a web site to prove it thanks
 
oh wow! NO Japanese and American do not work with each other really...maybe some similarities like probe to a eclipse but thats just body similarities, no specs, no tranny no engine are the same in anyway...

Dodge created Plymouth so you technically drive a Dodge with a Plymouth name badge....but it's not a Ford nor a Mitsubishi so dont' worry
 
no, Chrysler and Mitsubishi work with each other quite often. i once looked at a friends car and he had a dodge colt(said dodge colt on the back), but almost everything on the damn thing said Mitsubishi.
