Is my denim skirt too short for school?

It is for school tomorrow and it is warm so no worries about weather. I'm in grade nine and the rule is it has to reach your finger tips. I can get it to reach pretty close to my finger tips if I wear it low but not all the way to the tips. I'm really tall so I usually get away with short shorts but this is a skirt so. Do you think it's fine to wear ?

my skirt is a little shorter than my fingertips but i wear it anyways and bring an extra pair of pants if they say something

If you're in doubt, it probably is too short to wear . But who cares? A lot of girls wear stuff that are inappropriate in HS.
