i was several times denied a copy of the condo by-laws handbook after multiple requests, since the outset of my purchase of my condo four years ago. my real estate agent was denied it four years ago, and i'm still denied it today. is the condo association legally required to give me a copy of the condo by-laws, either in the past or now? i've been paying my condo dues (and mortgage) faithfully, and have never even seen what the by-laws handbook looks like.
i live in dupage county, illinois.
EDIT: my real estate agent wasn't able to review the by-laws with me when i had purchased the condo, because the condo association had denied us a copy.
