Is my betta fish sick?

probably not sick yet, but beat up. Males and females should never be together unless spawning them and then you never leave them alone, you monitor them. Take the poor girl out and treat her with some antibiotics now. Those spots could be lost scales.
 
I have a male and female betta fish in the same tank. My fishtank is a fernbrook, and they both live in it together. My brothers male betta fish got horny and territorial, and he's always chasing my fish around and pecking her on her scale/skin. I came home from school today and looked in the tank, and noticed that she had these grayish spots. She is a reddish-brown betta fish. I don't know why, but she's also been lying down in the corner of my fish tank. I think she's sick, but I'm not sure. So is my female betta fish sick?
 
She is being slowly killed by the male! What are you waiting for? Get her out of there! If you don't have another tank, get a divider in there ASAP. Until then, scoop water out of the tank and put in a big bowl, and keep the male there. This is the only circumstance where I will ever advocate keeping a Betta in a bowl. Just long enough to get a divider in place. Otherwise you will soon wind up with a dead fish. She may recover once they are separated, or she may be too far gone.
Now you know why you are never supposed to keep males and females together.
 
beta fish are very territorial you should never keep two in a tank! separate them weather it be another tank or a tank divider. if she still acts the same way after they are separated then go to a pet store and explain to an employee the symptoms and see if theirs any medications u can add to the water to help her out.

You never should have had them in the same tank to begin with, and you really should have done your research before getting a pet.

That said, she's probably just in shock. Find yourself a clean container to put her in if you don't have another tank and go buy some aquarium salt from the store. Add about a teaspoon of aquarium salt for every gallon of water - it'll help keep her cuts clean while they heal. Change the water every day or two, depending on how small the container is... and I suggest going and buying her a proper tank of her own at some point, because you CANNOT keep a male and female betta together, unless there are at least three females, and even then it sometimes doesn't work.

And - just checking - you are using either purified water or spring water in the tank, right?
