A April New member Feb 18, 2010 #1 I rescued a betta fish from wal mart and i put him in a big tank with a filter plants and heaters but he has a slit in his tail and i wanted to know if this would heal i have 9 bettas now!!!!!!

G Generation Kill New member Feb 18, 2010 #2 The best way to heal a sick fish is clean cycled water. If you've done that then he should be good and fully healed within a week.
