I have a betta fish that's about three or two years old. He doesn't go to the top of the tank until i feed him, and he's getting a large white bubble under his head near his stomach. Any advice???

Yeah. Some fish die at that age. Most die like the 3rd month you have them. I had a goldfish that died only a week after i got him. He was REALlY bright orange and a healthy fish. I fed him alot!

Anyways Yeah Probably

Your welcome

Hope i help

:)

A 2-3 year old betta fish is definitely not an old one. Betta's can live up to 7-10 years with the proper care. Most betta's die at around 2-4 years of age due to improper care and unsuitable environments. I don't recommend anything under 5g for one betta fish with a gentle filter and a heater set to around 80F.

The large white bubble indicates a parasite. If he's in an unfiltered container or even a bowl, that's why he's suffering. Parasites thrive on an abundance of excess food, combined with stagnant water. I recommend getting him into a suitable environment ASAP.

Well he is an old fishy but he could be just suffering with constipation. Try using some kind of tonic water or tonic salt in his tank also some daphnia or brine shrimp for food could help.

Good luck.
