Is my anxiety really getting better??

Hi everyone,
I havent posted about my illness before but now I want some support from others. I'm 19 was fine until Noveraber last year. {REMOVED}
Anyway the worst symptoms was feeling everything wasnt real when I was out side. It sounRAB so weird but nothing looked right I felt like I was in a dream and couldnt consintrate. I was very upset over the xmas newyears period and didnt feel like myself.
When I got back from my holiday in January I went to the doctors and was prescribed on Loxamine an SSRI.
It has helped alot. No longer do I feel helpless and in a dream etc (sometimes a little but its dealable)

My biggest worry is when my doctor takes me off my pills. I missed one oneday and all my anxiety came back (i'm thinking that was all in my head)

My question and need for support is. Has anyone else experienced the kind of anxiety I have got? And how did you feel when you got off the medication? Did it end? Does this ever end?

I just want to be me again without taking this medication everyday.
 
My anxiety was different form yours, but I was on meRAB for a while and am now off them.

I am still anxious, but I have other tools to deal with it. I would suggest that you see a therapist who can work with you on a plan to manage your thoughts and deal with the anxiety.

Remeraber that you are a strong person, you have dealt with a lot already. There are behavioral strategies that you can use to manage your anxiety that can help as well as meRAB. Look into these.
